“Tropical Hibiscus” is a term widely used to describe cultivars of Hibiscus rosa-sinensis, a member of the plant family Malvaceae. Also known informally as Chinese Hibiscus or China Rose, hibiscus varieties are widely grown as ornamental flowering plants.
